ASME SA312 TP317L 1.4438 Stainless Steel Welded Pipe High Temperature
TP 317L is a chromium nickel molybdenum alloy that can perform under high temperatures. The alloy is solid solution heated for strength and the pipes are produced through different manufacturing mechanisms. The SA 312 TP 317L products have high yield strengths and can perform well under stress conditions. They have elongation rate higher than 35%.
The 317L is also much corrosion resistance to the sulfur gas attacks at condensation. The lower carbon means that the product could be used with less intergranular corrosion while welding and it reduces the sensitization of the material. Also, high temperature applications with other mild chemicals are possible as well. The material is non-magnetic. The 317L could be used with high concentrations of hydrochloric, sulfuric and other acids under temperatures lower than 38 degrees Celsius.

Applications
The 317L grade austenitic stainless steel is used in a variety of applications such as power plant, paper and pulp processing plants, textile equipment, petrochemical processing plants, food processing plants, flue gas desulfurization scrubbers and in chemical processing plants. This range of applications is possible because the material is malleable and durable. It is also a chromium, nickel and molybdenum alloy.
