Scope - Applies to seamless medium - carbon steel tubes for use in boilers and superheaters of steam - generating plants.
- A210 for inch - pound units; A210M for SI units
Chemical Composition - Carbon (C): Typically in the range of 0.15% - 0.30%
- Manganese (Mn): Usually 0.30% - 0.60%
- Phosphorus (P): Max 0.035%
- Sulfur (S): Max 0.035%
- Silicon (Si): 0.10% - 0.40%
Mechanical Properties - Tensile Strength
- Grade A: Min 415 MPa (60 ksi)
- Grade B: Min 485 MPa (70 ksi)
- Yield Strength
- Grade A: Min 240 MPa (35 ksi)
- Grade B: Min 275 MPa (40 ksi)
- Elongation in 2 in. or 50 mm: Min 30% for both grades

  • Inspection and Test: Chemical Composition Inspection, Mechanical Properties Test(Tensile Strength,Yield Strength, Elongation, Flaring, Flattening, Bending, Hardness, Impact Test), Surface and Dimension Test,No-destructive Test, Hydrostatic Test.
  • Surface treatment: Oil-dip, Varnish, Passivation, Phosphating, Shot Blasting.
  • Both ends of each crate will indicate the order no., heat no., dimensions, weight and bundles or as requested.
