1. For Water Supply Lines

  • Material Type: The galvanized (zinc-coated) version (Type E or Type F) is mandatory to prevent internal corrosion and rust contamination of the potable water.

  • Primary Function: Used for the conveyance of cold and hot potable water in residential, commercial, and industrial plumbing systems.

  • Key Advantage: The hot-dip galvanized coating provides a robust barrier, significantly extending the service life of the piping against rust.

  • Installation: Commonly joined using threaded connections and fittings, facilitating straightforward assembly and maintenance.

2. For Piling

  • Material Type: Typically, the more economical Grade A and black (uncoated) pipe is specified.
