Overview:
EN10217-7 is a European standard that specifies the technical delivery conditions for welded stainless steel tubes for pressure purposes. The standard covers a range of grades, including 1.4401 and 1.4404, which are commonly known as 316 and 316L stainless steel.
1.4401 and 1.4404 are austenitic stainless steels with high corrosion resistance and excellent mechanical properties. They are commonly used in applications where resistance to corrosion is critical, such as in the chemical, petrochemical, and food processing industries.
The welded pipes produced in accordance with EN10217-7 1.4401/1.4404 are typically used for conveying fluids under pressure. The pipes are manufactured using a variety of welding techniques, including TIG, plasma, and laser welding. The pipes are available in a range of sizes and wall thicknesses to suit different applications.
In addition to the technical delivery conditions, EN10217-7 also specifies the testing and inspection requirements for the welded pipes. This includes non-destructive testing, such as ultrasonic testing, and visual inspection to ensure the pipes meet the required quality standards
